When I was a young man of 17 years, my uncle took me to a Christian meeting on an Easter Sunday. I had given up on God just a few years before. I didn't even believe in Him anymore, but I found myself so empty I began to seek God again. My career as an athlete was practically over due to injury and all I was interested in was having a good time, but God was waiting for me that day.
I met some Christian young people in New York that were full of joy and loved me just the way I was. I felt God's love. It wasn't long before I found myself kneeling down in the privacy of my room asking God to give me this joy and love. As a result Jesus came into my life. After that day, my life was changed, and 30 years later I am still enjoying this eternal joy and love with His church, the body of Christ. (Ephesians 1:22-23)
